The motor control module controls the traction motor by detecting the rotor position angle using the traction motor rotor position sensor. The motor control module detects zero point offset to improve torque accuracy and traction motor efficiency. When the zero point offset detection value is out of a permissible range, the motor control module in the power control unit (PCU) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
