The power control unit (PCU) monitors the IGBT chip temperature sensor value to prevent malfunction of the chip due to heat generation. If the IGBT chip temperature sensor output voltage is a specified voltage for a specified time, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
