DTC U0402-68 : TCM Failure
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
- VSA will set this DTC if any TCM system DTC's exist.

DTC (VSA)
- A/T control system DTCs check
-1. Check for A/T control system DTCs with the HDS.
9-speed A/T
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame 10-speed A/T
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
NO
Go to step 2.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Test-drive the vehicle at 6 mph (10 km/h) or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC U0402-68 TCM Failure Is DTC U0402-68 indicated?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
