Steering Heater Test: Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:  The steering wheel heater is built into the steering wheel.

  1. Driver's Airbag - Remove
  2. Steering Heater - Test

    1. Disconnect the connector (A).

    2. Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

    NOTE:  When the steering heater temperature is 73°F (23°C), resistance value is 2.0

    0.20 Ω.

    3. If the continuity is not as specified, the steering heater is faulty; replace the steering wheel assembly

    (B).

  3. All Remove Parts - Install
    1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
