DTC B1640

DTC B1640  : RF1 antenna not connected or malfunction

DTC (Keyless Access Control Unit)

NOTE:  If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   Clear DTCs

   -2. With keyless access function: Press the door outer handle door lock switch to lock the door, then touch the door outer handle touch sensor to unlock the door.

   -3. Without keyless access function: Press the LOCK switch of the keyless remote to lock the door, then press the UNLOCK button of the keyless remote to unlock the door.

   -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   B1640 RF1 antenna not connected or malfunction

   Is DTC B1640 indicated?

   YES 

   Replace the keyless access/TPMS control unit .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
