DTC P0130: General Description

GHH598430Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

The air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor (sensor 1) is installed in the exhaust manifold and detects oxygen content in the exhaust gas. The A/F sensor (sensor 1) transmits a signal to the powertrain control module (PCM), and the PCM controls fuel injection duration by comparing the target air fuel ratio with the A/F sensor (sensor 1) signal. When power is applied to the A/F sensor (sensor 1) heater, if the A/F sensor (sensor 1) output current is out of normal range, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
