DTC P24C0: General Description
When the canister change over valve is functioning normally, the value of evaporative emission (EVAP) leak check module pressure sensor will not show an negative pressure during the purge since the passage for purge flow and depressurization are constantly secured unless during the EVAP leak check. However, if the purge control is activated while the canister change over valve is stuck closed or the passage, the dust filter, or the drain is clogged, a fuel tank buckling will occur due to excessive negative pressure. If a relative pressure calculated from the EVAP leak check module pressure sensor continuously shows an excessive negative pressure, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
