Power Window Motor Test: Test

How to use this service information .

NOTE:
  • If the power window switch is replaced, reset the power window control unit . If the original power window switch is installed, confirm that the power window works properly.

Driver's 

  1. Driver's Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    NOTE:

    Before testing, make sure not to short the power window motor circuit.

    • If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

    2. Remove the driver's door regulator .

    3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)

    Front Passenger's 

  2. Front Passenger's Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    NOTE:

    Before testing, make sure not to short the power window motor circuit.

    • If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

    2. Remove the front passenger's door regulator .

    3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)

  3. Rear Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)
