Engine Oil Replacement: Replacement

How to use this manual .

NOTICE:  

• Be careful as engine components may be hot after stopping the engine.

• NOTE:  The engine oil may be hard to drain when the engine is cold. Warm up the engine as necessary.

1. Engine Oil - Replacement

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Remove the bolt (a), and drain the oil.

   2. Reinstall the bolt with a new washer (b) and torque to specification.

   3. Refill the engine with the recommended oil.

   Oil Amount Details 

   Operation	Specified Amount
   At Oil Change	5.2 L (5.5 US qt)
   At Oil Change including Filter	5.5 L (5.8 US qt)
   After Engine Overhaul	6.4 L (6.8 US qt)

   After Replacement 

   • Engine Oil Level Check - Refer to: Engine Oil Replacement  or Engine Oil Level Check 

   Maintenance Minder Reset (With Maintenance Minder System) 

   • If the Maintenance Minder required to replace the engine oil, reset the Maintenance Minder with the gauge (see "Resetting the Maintenance Minder"). If the Maintenance Minder did not require to replace the engine oil, reset the Maintenance Minder with the HDS (see "Resetting the Individual Maintenance Items").
