DTC P2122: Inspection

APP Sensor Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
  • APP sensor connector (6P): disconnected

• Procedure
  • Jump the APP sensor connector (6P) terminals No. 4 and No. 6 with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [APP Sensor A Voltage].

• Normal Conditions
  • HDS [APP Sensor A Voltage] value is more than 0.36 V  .

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the accelerator pedal module.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

VCC4, APS1 Circuit Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • APP sensor connector (6P): disconnected
  • PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) APP sensor connector (6P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) female terminals

	APS1 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω
	VCC4 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	APS1 shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MΩ

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
