DTC P0453: Inspection
FTP Sensor Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure
Unit output voltage inspection
- Preparation
- FTP sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Jump the FTP sensor connector (3P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [FTP Sensor Voltage].
| (Disconnected) FTP sensor connector (3P) female terminals | |
|
|
- Normal Conditions
- HDS [FTP Sensor Voltage] value is less than 3.42 V .
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the FTP sensor.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
PTANK [VOUT], SG6 [SGND] Open Wire Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- FTP sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
| (Disconnected) FTP sensor connector (3P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| PTANK [VOUT] open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ω | |||
| SG6 [SGND] open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ω | |||
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
