EVAP Canister Purge Valve Component Inspection

Test Procedure


		(Disconnected) EVAP canister purge valve connector (2P) male terminals
	IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
Valve internal circuit inspection	OFF		About 23 - 26 Ω (at room temperature)

IGPS(PCS) [IG1_ACG] Circuit Inspection

Test Procedure


			(Disconnected) EVAP canister purge valve connector (2P) female terminals

IGPS(PCS) [IG1_ACG] circuit inspection	ON		12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]

Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

PCS Circuit Inspection

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure

Preparation
- EVAP canister purge valve connector (2P): disconnected
- PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.


			(Disconnected) EVAP canister purge valve connector (2P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector E (114P) female terminals

PCS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
PCS short to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MΩ

PCM Inspection

Test Procedure

If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
