ACG_+B Circuit Inspection
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Alternator B terminal: disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

| ACG_+B circuit inspection | OFF | 12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1] | ||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
Alternator Circuit Terminals Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Check the connecting conditions or loose terminals of connectors at these locations:
* Alternator B terminal
* Alternator
* Fuse holder A (ACG_+B line)
- Check the connecting conditions or loose terminals of connectors at these locations:
- Normal Conditions
- Conditions at the connections and terminals are OK.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the connections or terminals.
Alternator Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good alternator and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the alternator must be faulty.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
