DTC P2123: Inspection

APP Sensor Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, the defective component judgement is based on the results from the other inspection items.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • APP sensor connector (6P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) APP sensor connector (6P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	Unit output voltage inspection	ON		About 5.0 V

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the accelerator pedal module.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

SG4 Open Wire Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • APP sensor connector (6P): disconnected
  • PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) APP sensor connector (6P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) female terminals

	SG4 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
