DTC P2135: Inspection

TP Sensor Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
  • Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected

• Procedure
  • Jump the throttle body 6P connector terminals No. 6 and No. 3 with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [TP Sensor A] value and the HDS [TP Sensor B Voltage] value.

• Normal Conditions
  • HDS [TP Sensor A] value is about 0 V  .
  • HDS [TP Sensor B] value is about 5.0 V  .

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the throttle body.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

THL1,THL2 Shorted Wire Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected
  • PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Throttle body connector (6P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	THL1, THL2 shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MΩ

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
