DTC P064D: General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) controls the air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor (sensor 1) by the A/F sensor IC which is in the PCM. The fuel injection length is determined by the air fuel ratio output from the A/F sensor IC and the target air fuel ratio that is determined by the PCM. The A/F sensor (sensor 1) is composed of VS cell, IP cell, reference oxygen chamber, diffusion chamber, and heater, etc. The current value output to the IP cell is determined according to the output voltage of the VS cell, and A/F sensor IC outputs the current to the CPU of the PCM. The PCM compares the IP current value with actual IP current value output to the A/ sensor (sensor 1), and if it is different, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
