DTC P2401: General Description
The evaporative emission (EVAP) leak check module vacuum pump is installed in the EVAP leak check module to create vacuum pressure in the EVAP passage during the EVAP leak check. The EVAP leak check module vacuum pump is normally non-energized and inactive, and it is only activated during the EVAP leak check. If the diagnostic signal of the driver IC in the powertrain control module (PCM) is low for a prescribed time while the PCM outputs drive signal to the EVAP leak check module vacuum pump, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
