Power Window Motor Test: Test
How to use this service information .
- If the power window switch is replaced, reset the power window control unit . If the original power window switch is installed, confirm that the power window works properly.
Driver's
- Driver's Power Window Motor - Test
Preconditions

Procedure/Specifications
1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)
NOTE:Before testing, make sure not to short the power window motor circuit.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

2. Remove the driver's door regulator .
3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)
Result
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, the driver's power window motor is faulty; replace the driver's door regulator .
- If the motor runs smoothly, replace the wire harnesses or adjust the driver's door glass .
After Test
Front Passenger's
- Front Passenger's Power Window Motor - Test
Preconditions

1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)
NOTE:Before testing, make sure not to short the power window motor circuit.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

2. Remove the front passenger's door regulator .
3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)
Result
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, the front passenger's power window motor is faulty; replace the front passenger's door regulator .
- If the motor runs smoothly, replace the wire harnesses or adjust the front passenger's door glass .
After Test
- With front power windows AUTO UP/DOWN function: Power Window Control Unit Reset
Rear
- Rear Power Window Motor - Test

1. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

3. Test the motor according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)
Result
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, the rear power window motor is faulty; replace the rear door regulator .
- If the motor runs smoothly, replace the wire harnesses or adjust the rear door glass .
