Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the underbody shields. Refer to Catalytic Converter Guard Replacement .
  3. Support the front differential.

  4. Remove the differential mounting nut, bolt, and washer. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT in Front Drive Axle.

  5. Remove the crossmember mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the crossmember from the vehicle.
