Repair Instructions: Support: Installation

  1. Raise and support the rear support into position.
  2. Install the support brackets at the forward support assembly mounts. See Figure.
  3. Install the forward mount bracket bolts. Do not tighten at this time.
  4. Install rear and front bolts at the mounts. See Figure.
    • Tighten the front support assembly bolts to 141 Ft. Lbs. (191 N.m).
    • Tighten the rear support assembly bolts 141 Ft. Lbs. (191 N.m).
    • Tighten the support bracket bolts to 63 Ft. Lbs. (86 N.m).
  5. Connect the automatic level control air tube to the automatic level control compressor.
  6. Connect the automatic level control electrical connector and vent tube.
  7. Connect the electrical connectors to the support assembly. See Figure.
  8. Connect the automatic level control links to both control arms.
  9. Attach the parking brake cable at the support assembly.
  10. Install the parking brake cable to the brake calipers. See Figure.
  11. Install the brake calipers. See BRAKE CALIPERS .
  12. Install the coil springs. See COIL SPRING .
  13. Install the exhaust system.
  14. Install the tires and wheels.
  15. Lower the vehicle.
