Rear Bumper Removal/Installation: Notes

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the trunk side trim (RH).
Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the trim (LH). (4 door)
Remove the service hole cover (LH). (5 door)
Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the license plate light connector.

Remove in the order indicated in the table.

REMOVAL ORDER OF REAR BUMPER

Removal Order	Part
1	Screw A
2	Fastener A
3	Fastener B
4	Fastener C
5	Bolt
6	Screw B
7	Rear bumper (See Rear Bumper Removal Note .) (See Rear Bumper Installation Note .)
8	Reflector (See Reflector Removal Note .)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
