Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Support the rear axle.
- Disconnect the electronic suspension control (ESC) sensor, if equipped. Refer to REAR POSITION SENSOR LINK ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT--ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION in Electronic Suspension Control (ESC).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut from the frame.
- Remove the lower shock absorber nut and bolt from the rear axle.
- Lower the rear axle until the springs are fully unloaded.
- Remove the coil spring and the upper insulator.
