Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Hummer H2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the rocker panel protector to the vehicle.
- Loosely install all of the mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the EVAP canister vent valve bracket. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement in Engine Controls.
- Install the assist step if equipped. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (Tubular BVE) or Assist Step Replacement (Removable U Step) .
- Lower the vehicle.
IMPORTANT:
Do not tighten the fasteners until they have all been started.
