Removal Procedure
- Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
- Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the accessory (ACC) position.
- The lock cylinder access hole is just under the air bag coil on the right center of the column housing.
- Insert the 90 degree tip of a pick type tool into the access hole of the ignition lock cylinder.
- Push down and hold the retaining pin of the ignition lock cylinder.
- Remove the ignition lock cylinder by pulling the cylinder away from the steering column.
