Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the assist step if equipped. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (Removable U Step)  or Assist Step Replacement (Tubular BVE)  or Assist Step Replacement (w/WS2, BVX) .
  3. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement .

  4. Remove the mounting bolts.
  5. Remove the rocker panel protector from the vehicle.
