Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 GMC Canyon and 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the upper control arm.
- Install the upper control arm bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 160 N.m (118 lb ft).
- Connect the upper control arm to the steering knuckle.
- Install the new nut to the upper ball joint stud.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
- Connect the wheel speed sensor brackets.
- Install the wheel speed sensor bracket bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Connect the front brake hose to the upper control arm. Refer to Brake Hose Replacement - Front in Hydraulic brakes.
- Remove the lower control arm support.
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Verify the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications in Wheel Alignment.
