Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of an assistant, position the hood to the vehicle.
  2. Partially install the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hinges.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. With the aid of an assistant, position the hood to the hinges at the previously marked locations.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Inspect the hood for proper adjustment. Refer to Hood Adjustment  .
  5. Install the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement  .
  6. Install the front hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Hood Front  .
