Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Do not tighten the fasteners until they have all been started.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Loosely install all of the mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
Install the EVAP canister vent valve bracket. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement .
Install the assist step if equipped. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (w/WS2, BVX) or Assist Step Replacement (Tubular BVE) .
Lower the vehicle.
