Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  1. Install the brake fluid level sensor bracket bolt (1) and bracket (2) to the BPMV module assembly.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  2. Install a new BPMV gasket (1) and the BPMV module assembly (2).
    3. IMPORTANT: Hand install the BPMV module assembly bolts prior to tightening the bolts to properly locate the BPMV module assembly.

  3. Install the BPMV (1) bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  4. Install the power brake booster (1). Refer to Power Brake Booster Replacement .

  5. Install the master cylinder reservoir (1). Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement .

  6. Remove the CH-47830  (1) from the master cylinder assembly. See Special Tools .
  7. Install the brake master cylinder and power brake booster assembly. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder with Power Brake Booster and Chassis Control Module Replacement .
  8. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  9. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
