Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or the sunshade as components of the new service part.

  1. The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.

    Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .

  2. Remove the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  3. Remove the air deflector. Refer to Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector on the sunroof actuator.
  6. Cut the tie straps securing the electrical harness to the sunroof cable rear drive tube.

  8. Disconnect the drain hoses from the front sunroof module drain spouts (1).

  10. Disconnect the drain hoses from the rear sunroof module drain spouts.

  12. Remove the sunroof module to the roof bolts (1).
  13. Remove the 2 center, side to side, bolts last in order to help support the sunroof module to the roof ring.
  14. Remove the last 2 sunroof to roof ring bolts.
  15. With an assistant, lower and remove the sunroof module assembly out the passenger side door.
