Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. If equipped with a 5.3L engine, position the catalytic converter heat shield (1) to the underbody and install the nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  2. Position the catalytic converter heat shield (1) to the underbody and install the nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. If equipped with a 5.3L engine, install the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LH8)  and/or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LH8) .
  4. If equipped with a 3.7L engine, install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LLR) .
