Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Disconnect the battery positive cable (1) from the battery.

Remove the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement .

Remove the battery retainer bolt and battery retainer.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
