Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
- Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal E
- Terminal F
- Terminal 13 (JL7)
- Terminal 38 (JL7)
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ / IGN circuits terminals listed below and ground.
- B+ terminal A
- B+ terminal B
- IGN terminal C
- B+ terminal 13 (JL7)
- B+ terminal 38 (JL7)
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the affected B+ / IGN circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
