Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X1 and X2 at the EBCM.
- Test for less than 5 ohms between the ground circuit terminal 1 or 32 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for 9-15.5 volts between the B+ circuit terminal 16 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If greater than the specified range, refer to Charging System Test .
- Test for 9-15.5 volts between the ignition circuit terminal and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If greater than the specified range, refer to Charging System Test .
- If all circuit test normal, replace the EBCM module.
