Hazard Warning Switch: Elantra

  1. Check for blown fuse (No. 2). Check flasher operation. Flasher is located in relay box, behind left dash. If okay, remove hazard switch from right side of instrument cluster trim panel. Unplug harness connector.
  2. With switch in OFF position, use ohmmeter to ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 9, and terminals No. 1 and 5. SeeFigure . With switch in ON position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2, 6, 7, 8, and between terminals No. 4 and 9. Terminals No. 1 and 5 are for bulb illumination. Terminal No. 4 is fused input power supply to switch.
