Wastegate Control Solenoid Valve
- Disconnect solenoid valve connector, located near air cleaner. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage at solenoid connector Green/White wire. If battery voltage exists, go to step 2). If battery voltage does not exist, check and repair circuit as necessary.
- Disconnect ECM connector. Ground ECM connector terminal No. 21. See Fig 1
. Check for continuity between chassis ground and solenoid valve connector Blue/Green wire. If continuity exists, circuit is okay. Go to step 3). If continuity does not exist, check for open or short to ground between solenoid valve and ECM.
- Disconnect solenoid valve connector. Using DVOM, check resistance between solenoid valve terminals. Resistance should be approximately one megohm at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not within specification, replace solenoid valve.
