Front Wiper Motor
- Unplug wiper motor harness connector. Using 2 jumper wires, connect battery positive to wiper motor connector terminal No. 1 and connect battery negative to terminal No. 5. SeeFig 1
. Wiper motor should run at low speed.
- Connect battery positive to wiper motor connector terminal No. 1 and connect battery negative to terminal No. 2. Wiper motor should run at high speed.
- To check wiper automatic parking, operate wiper motor at low speed as described in step 1). Stop motor operation at any point but park position by disconnecting battery negative wire at terminal No. 5, and then connect wire to terminal No. 3. Using another jumper wire, connect terminals No. 5 and 6. Wiper motor should run, then stop at park position.
- If wiper motor fails any of these tests, replace wiper motor assembly. If wiper motor operates as described but does not operate from switch, check multifunction switch continuity and check wiring for open circuits. If switch and wiring are okay, replace Time and Alarm Control Module (TACM).
