Oil Pressure Switch (Indicator Light)

Disconnect engine harness connector from oil pressure switch on engine. See OIL PRESSURE SWITCH/SENDING UNIT LOCATION table. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between switch terminal and engine (ground). There should be continuity with engine not running. There should NOT be continuity when engine is running and oil pressure is greater than 4-5 psi (.3-.4 kg/cm² ). If switch does not react as described, replace switch.
