Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

To check operation of sending unit, remove sending unit from vehicle. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals No. 2 and 3 in 3 float positions. SeeFigure . Results should be as follows.

At "E" position, resistance should be 103-117 ohms. At 1/2 position, resistance should be 28-36 ohms. At "F" position, resistance should be 1-5 ohms.
