Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

Self-diagnostic system monitors all input signals from each sensor. If an abnormal input signal occurs, that item is stored by ECM and given a code number. Codes can be read using a voltmeter or scan tester. Data Link Connector (DLC) is located in fuse box on left kick panel. ECM long term memory is not erased when ignition is turned off. ECM memory will erase if battery or ECM is disconnected.
