Starter Assembly

NOTE: Use illustration for exploded view of starter. See Fig 1 .

Using a suitable socket, press the stop ring retainer off of the stop ring. See Fig 2 . Using expandable pliers, remove the stop ring. See Fig 3 . Remove the stop ring retainer, overrunning clutch from the shaft.
