Strut Assembly: Disassembly

Remove the insulator dust cover with a flat-tip screw driver.
Using the Special Tool (J38402), compress the coil spring until there is only a little tension on the strut.
NOTE: Do not use an impact gun.

Remove the lock-nut at the top end of the shock absorber.
Remove the strut insulator, spring seat assembly, coil spring and strut dust cover.
