Automatic Transaxle (A4AF3): Removal

Remove the battery terminal and the battery.

Removal the air cleaner.

Remove the transaxle range switch connector.

Remove the solenoid valve connector and the oil temperature sensor connector.

Remove the cotter pin of the control cable.

Remove the oil filler tube.

Remove the clip of the control cable.

Remove the oil cooler hose.

Remove the speedometer driven gear connector. (speed sensor connector)

Remove the u-joint.

Remove the power steering return hose.
Remove the tire.
Remove the starter motor.

Remove the bolt for the upper connection of the engine and the transaxle.

Remove the caliper after lifting up the vehicle.

Separate the tie rod end from the pin and nut.

Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil.

Remove the transaxle side cover.

Remove the wheel speed sensor and the knuckle mounting bolt.

Remove the drive shaft and the left side hub nut.

Install the special tool, the engine support fixture on the engine assembly.

Remove the transaxle mounting bracket after removing the hole cover and the mounting bolts.

Remove the front roll stopper.

Remove the rear roll stopper.

Remove the front muffler.

Remove the bell housing cover. (Bolts : 5EA)

Remove the torque converter mounting plate bolts (3EA).

Remove the cylinder block plate bolt.

Install the jack for supporting transaxle.

Remove the lower mounting bolts (2EA) of the transaxle.
Remove the sub frame.
Remove the transaxle.
