Monitor SCANTOOL Data
- Connect scantool to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Monitor "ECTS" parameter on scantool.
- Is the "ECTS" parameter displayed correctly?
YES : --> Case1] This DTC can be caused by Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS). So, if there is (are) DTC(s) of IATS, refer to INSPECTION CHART FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) .
--> Case2] Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM/PCM's connector was repaired and ECM/PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO : --> Go to "TERMINAL & CONNECTOR INSPECTION " procedure.
