Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. Disconnect ECM/PCM harness connector.
  3. Short terminal 53/C01-1 (94/C01) of PCM (ECM) harness connector to ground.

    Specification:  Fuel filler cap lamp ON

  4. Is the Fuel filler cap warning lamp turned on normally?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known - good ECM/PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM/PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known - good instrument cluster and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace instrument cluster and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
