Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check for open in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect power seat recline motor.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "C1" of IMS and terminal "4" of power seat recline sensor.
4. Measure resistance between terminal "D8" of IMS and terminal "1" of power seat recline sensor.

   Specification  : Approx. 0 Ω

5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

   YES 

   • Go to  1 Check for short in harness procedure.

   NO 

   • Check for open in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check for short in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect power seat recline motor.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "1" and "4" of power seat recline sensor and chassis ground

   Specification  : Approx. ∞ Ω

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

   YES 

   • Go to "POWER CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.

   NO 

   • Check for short in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
