Component Inspection: Notes

  1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "OFF".
  2. Remove the TCU.
  3. Measure the resistance for "OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR".

    10°C (50°F) 5.62 ~ 7.31
    25°C (77°F) 3.5
    110°C (230°F) 0.22 ~ 0.27
  4. Is resistance within specifications?

    YES

    1. Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM as necessary and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.

    NO

    1. Replace "OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR" as necessary and Go to VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.
