Main Crash Pad Replacement
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Take care not to scratch the body surface.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Remove the front seat assembly. (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ")
- Remove the front pillar trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to "CONSOLE ")
- Remove the front door scuff trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the cowl side trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the crash pad side cover [LH, RH].
- Remove the cluster fascia lower panel.
- Remove the cluster assembly.
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
- Remove the center fascia upper panel.
- Remove the center fascia lower panel.
- Remove the monitor assembly.
- Remove the audio unit assembly.
- Remove the glove box.
- Remove the glove box housing.
- Remove the steering column shroud.
- Disconnect the steering column connectors. (Refer to "STEERING COLUMN & SHAFT ")
- Lower the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts. (Refer to "STEERING COLUMN & SHAFT ")
- Disconnect the passenger's air bag connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting bolts.
- Disconnect the center speaker connector (A).
- Disconnect the trip switch connector (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo sensor (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (B).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the main crash pad assembly (B).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.NOTE:
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
