Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.

Remove the following items.
- Tail gate frame upper trim & Tail gate center trim
  (Refer to "TAIL GATE ")
- Tail gate trim
  (Refer to "TAIL GATE ")
- Tail gate frame side trim
  (Refer to "TAIL GATE ")
- Tail gate glass heater connector
  (Refer to REAR GLASS DEFOGGER SYSTEM .)
- Rear wiper arm
  (Refer to REAR WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM .)
Disconnect the washer nozzle (B) and high mounted stop lamp connector (A).

Loosen the rear spoiler mounting nuts.
Tightening Torque :

5.9 ~ 6.4 N.m (0.6 ~ 0.65 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 4.7 lb-ft)

Remove the rear spoiler (A).

Spread the WD-40 on the side of tail gate glass.
Cut out the adhesive using the cutter (A).
NOTE:
- Please use the cutter with a blade length between 8-12 inches.

Rear

Enough on the upper, lower, side of tail gate glass and then cut out the adhesive using the cutter tool (09861-31100).

Rear

Remove the tail gate glass (A).
NOTE:
- When removing and installing the tail gate glass, an assistant is necessary.
