Repair Procedures: Inspection

- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Remove the Engine Control Module (ECM).
(Refer to Engine Control System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ")
- Disconnect the Back-Up Lamp Switch connector (A).
- Check the continuity between no. 1 and 2 terminals of backup lamp switch. When the shift lever is in reverse, there should be continuity.
